Share Internet...Not files

I have my laptop (wireless) and desktop (wired) set up so that I can access files on one of my desktops hard drives from my laptop and make changes to the files, etc. I want to give access to my girlfriends laptop to access the wireless internet but not to have access to my shared files (not see them, change them, etc.)..how can I set this up?

Is there a program that can just give her access or set it up within the linksys setup program?

Just have her connect wirelessly to the router and disable file sharing on her system.

she could just turn it back on though if she knew how right?...is there a program that allows me to do it and limit her bandwidth or somethign like that?

It depend on the version of windows you have on the desktop. if it is windows 7, I think you can set permission for who can access the files. and also you can password protect the shared folders.
Best wishes.

Move 'em to an external hard drive or an online storage. Free webspace with FTP access isn't hard to find these days. Even if your girlfriend isn't computer literate enough, she has friends that are. I'm usually the guy that gets called when such and such is cheating on who and who, or so and so is looking at websites with such and such. They want proof, and most of the time someone can figure it out. However, if you access an online site that has all of your sensitive files, provided you aren't violating their Terms of Service. Your information can be kept quite private, require a username and password, and so long as you have no keyloggers hidden, you should be good to go. :)
