Shared Memory Problem,please help!!

Anyone knows how to change the amount of shared memory in a Acer Laptop ? It cames with 2gb and 128mb of Video, but uses another 768mb from the physical memory shared to video.

Please help, I want to reduce the amount of shared memory
 
If there is a setting it will be in the BIOS. Are you sure it is using 768MB, what onboard video does it use?
 
I run 2gb of memory here and see 707.568mb reserved for the system cache. One way to increase system performance is to reduce the size of the paging file that Windows creates. For video mamory you would follow Cromewell's reference to go into the bios and reduce or increase the video aperature setting to see a change in what the system takes from an installed video card's memory.
 
That certainly wouldn't be video memory with a 128mb card installed. If you are looking in the task manager in the performance section you will see the total amount of memory along the with cached amount right below that. The thing to note is that the amount seen there will be constantly changing depening on what you do or do not have runnning at the time.
