It surely can be done, since there is a software that shares scanners over a network (Remote Scan). But I'm looking for a simpler (cheaper) way to do it.
Any ideas?
The problem is that at the office we have an old scanner with a propietary SCSI adapter that fits an ISA slot. So it can't be plugged in a newer computer (because of the lack of ISA slot). We have an old computer that has ISA too and it would be ideal just for scanning (but not for image processing). That's why I wonder if there's a way to remotely scan from another computer.
We have Win98SE on all computers.
The RemoteScan isn't an option, since a licence for it is too expensive (we could buy 2 new scanners with that money).
