Sharing computer and message forums

Why is it that everyone at certain message boards think that people don't share a computer?

I have an account at some forums and so does my boyfriend. We both live together and share one computer between us and we're both active on those forums. Admin found out we've got the same i.p. number and thinks we're a sock puppet. They even told other members and on this forum and everyone thinks we're the same person pretending. We keep telling them we're two different people but they don't believe it. They don't understand that people can share a computer like we do. Does that mean that their friends, relatives or partners don't share the computer and post on same sites? Also does it mean these people each have their own pc if they do happen to be members of same boards?

Most admins/mods own a website, therefore they're not used to people using their computers to go on the forums they hang out one...

That's just unfair to block someone because of that... they should let you prove you are two different persons before blocking you...

Anyways, if this happens on a forum, I suggest leaving it, as the admins don't seem to be mature/open enough to possibilities...

I haven't been around much... but i come and go as a lurker on this forum.

Just as a rule of thumb, how open minded and/or strict are the admins of this forum?

This question is pretty general... so just looking for a general answer.

Send them a virus.... No, Jk

Umm....Sounds like you need to find a different forum, those admins on that forum sound ridiculous...
