I have an ethernet connection to my laptop and I want to share that to my iphone, probably thru wifi.

But it was not clear which adapter to share connection on so I did it on the virtual adapter I set up as the guide explained and then my computers connection died but the virtual adapter I created showed up on my iphone wifi connection and I could connect to it but couldn't do any surfing, wwasn't able to connect to anything.
I disabled the virtual adapter and diagonesed my other ethernet connection to get my internet working again on my laptop.

But I was getting error for "The hosted network could not be started" so I had to go into device settings and enable to virtual adapter again. Then I kept following the guide and this time it was clear that I was supposed to share the connection from my ethernet connection to my virtual adapter. I did that but the wifi connection don't show up now on my iphone wifi connections.
