Sharing printer across wireless n/w

Hi. I have a desktop pc with windows xp and a Kodak easyshare 5800 hooked up to it. And I have a laptop with windows vista. My desktop has a Siemens Gigaset modem on it, which gives wireless internet to my laptop. I want to rig my printer so that I can send files to the printer over that network. So far I have went to Control panel on my desktop pc and set my printer shared. But vista is confusing and it's my firsty time working with networks. Thanks
 
OK, do the following:

  1. Share the Printer - Start > Printer & Faxes > Right click on the printer > Share > follow on - Make sure it has the correct permissions!
  2. On your laptop - Start > Control Panel > Printer and Faxes > Add new printer > Follow on.
  3. Under Printer and faces make sure it is your default printer.

Print something out and see if it works.

What do you mean by "follow on"? Just follow the prompts? Should I have the drivers installed on the laptop as well?

Follow on meaning follow the prompts.

Yes you might need the drivers installed on the laptop depending on the model and brand of printer.
