Sharp reduction in amount of spam I receive

Lately I have noticed a sharp drop in the amount of spam that I receive. It has gone from 80 per day to 8 per day. Is this because of anti spamming legislation, my ISP blocking it or are spammers just taking a break during the holidays ?

Has anyone else noticed a sharp drop in the amount of spam they receive ?
 
The amount of SPAM I usually have has gone from 70+ emails a month to 2 or 3 for a busy period. The Storm botnet was closed a while ago and a lot stopped after that.
