hey,

quick question for ya'll, if i was to ship a PC overseas is there any parts i should take out before shipping? i was thinking about taking out the HDDs, putting them in a static bag and then wrapping them up in bubble wrap, but is there anything else i should be worried about, besides the monitor?

thx
jon

Yeah, the GPU would be something to take out, with the HDD and any loose cables that may be hanging down, I'd tie up so they don't knock anything, just take as my care as possible :)

Put it in a strong and thick box and try to get the case suspended in the box so that a small puncture wont hit it (think of how your monitor was when you bought it). Like oscar said the GPU will be fine just pack the HDDs nicely.

Also make sure that the case is on it's side, and use a "this site up" text so it hopefully will stay like that. That way if it's dropped a foot or so, the components wont be stressed as much from the weight, especially if you have a newer video card which can be very heavy.
