I would really like to explain this.See PM.

well it might be the 2200 :P Im guessing you meant 3200? either than that I really couldnt think of why it might be struggling. I mean, thats quite a nice setup there.

well, BF 1942 ran fine on my 1.6 GHz chip with a GeForce2 card... Try taking off some of the graphics enhancements (i.e. anti-aliasing, reflections, etc...)

EVERYTHING is off and it still runs terribly.

I don't know about BF 1492, but my friend plays UT2004 off my old XP 2100+ / 768MB / Radeon 9200 easily on default settings. Have you checked your system for adware/spyware?

yes... and a virus scan.

Are you running directX 9.0c and have you checked ALL drivers, not just video card ones, everything, mobo chipset hard drive (if its SATA).... EVERYTHING.

*looks at sig* 6600GT

i thought it was weird too, ill use halo as an example, but it does it with others too. i can play at 1280x1024 everything on high, but if i take the res down too 1024x768 and take the graphics down, it goes really really jerky

9.0c .. yes
all drivers .. yes

Drive fragmentation doesnt play a significant issue once the game (or any game really) has loaded. Are you doing software rendering (i.e., D3D Acceleration disabled)?
