should I add inwards or outwards blowing?

I have this case

I love it, but it only has two fans right now, both are blowing out of the case i'm pretty sure.

Should I add an intake fan? or would that mess everything up and throw too much dust around?

I'm worried about my video card getting really hot...also I record music for a living and need to be sure it can stay cool for long, long recording sessions.


specs:

thermaltake MS 1 case

Intel i7 2600k 3.4Ghz

8GB ddr3

Radeon HD 6850

Gigabyte z68 motherboard

two 120 mm fans blowing outwards, one located in the top rear of the case, one on the see-through side blowing sideways.
 
If you only have outward fans, then yes, you'll need ones blowing in.

Make sure the one on the side is blowing in. There's a little arrow which indicates where the fan is blowing. I would add one on top and one in the front. When buying new fans, I would suggest to you to get the ones with less DBAs, so its more quiet for recording.

ok so the one ontop would be an outtake fan, and the one in front would be an intake? I want to establish a proper pressure inside and make sure the air circulates and doesn't just sit.
 
Yes, heat rises so it'd make sense to have the output on top. Here's a quick diagram to help.

That's with the most fans possible, two on top and back blowing out, and one in front and on the side blowing in.

So yes, if you don't want the air to sit, get 3 more fans.

Do you think he going to run a Chinese laundry inside the case, one push and two exhaust fans would be ample for decent air flow in any case....
Your idea would be great for a wind tunnel testing F18's.

Like your diagram claptonman, with that setup would you have a larger fan blowing in more cold air and a series of smaller fans blowing the hot air out ?

I'm just giving him the options. And if he wants to overclock that i7, the more airflow, the better.

He only has room for 120mm fans, so that is what his options are.
 
if possible i would use the same size fans all around the case,120mm fans,1 front intake fan,1 or 2 side intake fans,1 rear exhaust fan,1 or 2 exhaust fans top,have the power supply bottom mounted and faced down so air comes from bottom vent and blows out the rear,and a cpu cooler that blows toward the rear fan or a top fan,
