Hey Forum!
So, I bought a new computer a few days ago with Windows 7 64-bit pre-installed. Everything worked fine for a few hours, but then things started to mess up.
What I did first was to install a game, download Firefox and change some minor settings, nothing unusual. Then I went downstairs to eat dinner and pressed the standby button. When I came back, problems started occurring. For instance, I wasn't able to uninstall things. The InstallShield appeared to be loading but nothing ever happened. Also, icons weren't responding (such as the connectivity icon down to the right, which by the way told me I had no internet even though I did). Battlefield Bad company 2, which I had just installed, wouldn't execute and neither would internet explorer (well, the process was running, but no window opened)
So things were just messed up, and basically the only thing that actually worked properly was Firefox. Then, during another attempt of uninstalling a preinstalled game, everything suddenly froze up and I had to press and hold the power button to restart the computer. When the computer rebooted, i got the screen where you get options such as "start windows normally" and "start windows in a failsafe mode", or whatever the english version says. And THEN everything worked fine and has done so ever since
My question: should I be worried that my new compuer might still have these problem hidden somewhere and that it will act like this all over, and leave it to service or should I just do nothing?
Thanks
