sooooo im thinking bout buying this
i need some comments on it
im gonna be using it for cs3 shhttuff and i got 250 harddrive 4 g or ram blah blah help it runs windows vista i need help deciding if i want it
 
It doesn't have a GREAT graphics card, but it should do cs3. For $2000 at the base price, it looks overpriced. 2gb's of ram, a 160gb hard drive, and a semi-slow processor. If you get it, I would upgrade the processor, ram, hard drive, and graphics card. If you can't upgrade the graphics card, it will be way overpriced. You can find much better deals, and this just looks like they want to sell something with a large screen and bad specs.
 
you could run CS3 apps on a less powerful laptop. well, i don't know about all the apps since i only use flash, dreamweaver and photoshop and it runs well.

That's a lot of upgrades for a 2 thousand dollar computer.
 
My advice is to pay slightly less and get better specs when purchasing a laptop that you intend on gaming with.
 
A $2000 computer should have a better processor than a 1.86ghz dual core processor and bad graphics. It should have atleast an nvidia 8600 or 8800.

The Hp dragon, alienware has a 19" model they are reselling refurbished still, and the dell 2010. The Hp is a much better 20 inch laptop than the dell 2010.
Also the HP pavilion HDX, I think it is the dragon's real name or something.

If you go to Hp.com, and look at the 20 inch notebook, it is a pavilion HDX. The recommended configuration for under $2500 includes the following, for a much better value.

2.1ghz processor, better than 1.86
512mb 8800m gts graphics card - way better than the dell
4gb ram
2x size 320gb hard drive - better than dell
vista ULTIMATE - better than dell
AND blu-ray rom - better than dell
Office 2007 home/student INCLUDED - better than dell
subwoofer, Tv tuner - better than dell

edit: Also, 3 years norton. This laptop has an AMAZING value.
