Hey guys, this is my first post on here. I'm interested in purchasing a netbook but not sure it'll be able to handle what I'd need it to. My computer usage is mainly surfing the net, downloading i-tunes for my i-pod, and uploading videos to youtube or pics to facebook. Would a netbook be able to do all of this ok? My current laptop is about four years old so I'm sure its bogged down but it seems to do good. I found a couple of netbooks at bestbuy that looked pretty good. Would either of these work for me? Thanks:good:

I have an Asus Eee and works well. Good for what your using for. Ya could add another gig now. total 2 gig. make sure ya get a recovery disc also. I did get one in case of issues and came with it. finding drivers worked out well with support from Asus.

for the record, its used for portability and light weight. Traveling, checking forums etc. If ya want small and light this is it.

My links didn't work!

Here are the two I've considered...

Asus - Eee PC Netbook / Intel® Atom™ Processor / 10.1" Display / 1GB Memory / 250GB Hard Drive - Deep Red

Toshiba - Mini Netbook / Intel® Atom™ Processor / 10.1" Display / 1GB Memory / 250GB Hard Drive - Blue

Either would be fine for your needs. I'd look into several reviews about both to see what other's have said about each specific rig, and then decide which one to buy. Both companies have great build quality, and all netbooks have pretty much the same specs.

I actually wouldn't mind having one of my own, but I'm afraid as soon as I buy it I'll need to install something off of a -ROM, which of course I could do with an external -ROM drive, but it just makes it more difficult.
