should i go duel core 4200 or 3800?

what a silly question, OF COURSE YOU'LL SEE A SPEED DIFFERENCE, that 4200+ x2 rocks

EDIT: all new games are going to be multi threaded so it would be a much better choice to get that 4200+ x2

he's right, cuz it's just a waste of money for a thermal grease, 12 grams is kinda too much if your not applying it too often, every 2-3 months would be prefered and that 3.5 grams package is just enough

i have 1.5 grams package of thermal compound and i applyied it on my cpu and heatsink about 30 times if not even more, and the good thing is i got around 10% of it left :)

I really dont see a need to get a different thermal compound, since you need to re-apply it and it only decreases the temp a few degrees. But if your going to try to OC it as much as possible on air then i guess its worth it.

i think we have had this discussion with you before flip, you do not need to change your thermal greece every 2-3 month, once applied correctly you never really need to change it unless you upgrade hsf/cpu

When will this happen?
already is on selected titles

yeah thats correct what you said, but every 2-3 months the dust in the heatsink and fan needs to be cleaned so you need to remove it off the cpu and when your putting it back you have to re-apply the grease

thats what compressed air is for :)

yer i would leave it on i wouldnt take it of at all its a waste of time and if you have a heavy heatsink you could allways mess it up and crush you cpu that many friends have done before

so this processor is a good pick?

once i get my setup right, of to the next mission. convinsing my mom its gona be reliable. liike good info and also i have to wait for grades...n/p tho, considering i have a 3.5gpa right now.
