.. should I go Intel?

Just about to build a new system for gaming, and was going to go for the AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+ AM2 w/ M2N32-SLi Deluxe (Wi-Fi ready). Altogether this was/will (be) setting me back almost £280.

My question is, should I go Intel? I've had some hateful, hateful experiences but don't like to hold a grudge forever.. I think I'd be getting the E6400 - but what motherboard should I get? Couldn't spend more than £120 on the motherboard if I was getting that processor...

Thoughts / reviews?

Edit// wi-fi is preferable for built-in on the motherboard.

Msi and asus do some of the best boards. Make sure you have enough sockets.

get the E6600 if you can afford it.... its better
however the E6400 will do the job

I personally would look on google at benchmarks of both the AMD and Intel processors that you are interested in and see which perform better in what areas. Also indeed, as for motherboards, I'd go with a nice Asus one as Asus boards have done no wrong by me in the time period that I have used them.

Ahh, there you go then. It would appear that the E6600 is better. So if you have the cash I'd go for that.

yes it is, and very oc-able, so it would be a better choice than the x2 amd.

Just get the E6400 and the Asus P5B Deluxe/Wi-Fi
