Should I have done this?

Thanks for that.

Well, I have since installed Speedan 4.29. I previously had 4.28, so I was rather shocked to find they have put in another temp readout, named 'Core', into the list, which gives me a temp about 10C above what i THOUGHT was my CPU temp. I used to use 'Temp1', which gave me 28C-ish for idle. 'Core' gives me anything from 36C to 41C idle.

Simply put, I am both confused and worried, as Core also gives me 50C-ish for full load, whereas Temp1 would give me 41C-ish.

Core is probably the chipset. Mine is about 50* loaded also. Check it out with smartgaurdian if your not sure.

Ok, I have installed Smart Guardian, and Core apparently isnt the Chipset. Unless SG is wrong.

I let you all have a look, cos im off to bed. Even better, if you could find out what the other temps relate to, that would rock.

I guess I'll bump this, camoflauged as an edit.

I have also installed Everest H.E., which has helped clear up confusion even more. Now, all that's left for me to know is what 'Temp', 'Temp1' (bottom one) and 'Core' relate to.

I will eventually get round to booting computer up with slave unplugged, but I'm always doing something.
