Should I buy a new MB or js keep the one I have already?? I was able to OC my comp. by raising the FSB from 100 to 120. I couldn't find the multiplier even though it did showed up in the instruction manual. Does this mean that I reached my OCing limits?? Or does it mean that my MB js sucks.. :[ I'm really not that interested in spending money on another comp., I'd rather js upgrade a few parts on this comp. bcuhs I plan on purchasing a laptop later. I also plan on getting a new graphics card bcuhs I want to be able to play Call of Duty 2, so does anyone have any suggestions?? Also I'm not looking to spend A LOT of money on my comp but js around midrange. I have my specs. in my signature as a reference if anyone wants to know, not that I'm trying to show off my comp.. lol.

It could be either your mobo (I really know nothing about this particular mobo) or CPU limit, but there are a few other things to try first. Firstly, have you tried increasing the Vcore? Secondly, are you sure your RAM is stable at this OC. Try lowering your multiplier and running memtest, or relax your timings a little.

As for the multiplier, you won't be able to increase it, but you should be able to decrease it.

If it were me, I wouldn't upgrade the mobo just to try to get a little extra OC, as if you haven't hit your limit yet, you will soon.

As for a graphics card, it really depends on your budget. A 6600 series sounds like it would suit your needs, but if the 6600LE is too expensive, perhaps consider a 9600Pro. In reality, either of these cards is unlikely to be your bottleneck.

Oh, and i'd look at getting 512MB RAM as an absolute minimum. 1GB would be better. It'll benefit your gaming every bit as much as the better graphics card. You'd be better off to get a cheaper graphics card and upgrade the RAM as well.

Yes, I have increased the Vcore like I was supposed to and I can't increase the FSB any higher or else my computer won't boot up and I have to jump start it. I know this might sound stupid but I believe I can at least OC my comp. upto 2.5Ghz.. I js have to find out a way to unlock or reach the multiplier.. Thanks for you help.. If anyone else has any solutions I'm all ears.

You CANNOT increase the multiplier, it's locked to prevent you from doing this. You can only work with the FSB.

Or does it mean that my MB js sucks..
Well the mobo sucks but not because you couldnt find the multiplier settings :) (SiS chipsets arent supposed to be power user chipsets)

Also I'm not looking to spend A LOT of money on my comp but js around midrange.
And exactly how much money is midrange?

wow, were you really up until 4:14AM replying this message? thats not important, well anyways... I guess I wont mind spending $150-200 on a new MB. I also plan on replacing the damaged RAM and getting a new GPU. Any suggestions to which MB and GPU I should get, to get the most outta of my CPU?

Wow, if $200 is "mid-ranged" for a motherboard...what is your "high-end" budget? The very best of the best motherboards are usually less than $200, I'd say $75-$125 would be "mid-ranged".

You want to game? I'd look into getting at least 512MB PC3200, possibly 1GB. PC3200 is pretty cheap now.
