Should I switch Sides?

I always like ATi..... been using x300se to x700pro to x850xt. The main priorty or criteria I like about ATi is the picture-quality/image-quality. As you notice rumors and most of people agreed that ati has superior image-quality even review sites said so but I dont believe such media easily.... I always experience myself and ATi is really superior when it comes to image-quality. I compare my gaming screenshot with others with nvidia cards and mine was superior! deep, brilliant color! while nvidia are off-color bright out.

Athough rumors and most peole choose nvidia over ati and says nvidia are better.. my logic is...... ati high-end card is enough plus you get superior image-quality.

but then rumors also said nvidia driver are better and says ati driver sucks and has many problem..... well I think I agree on that cuz I jus experienced myself.

- playing RFonline on max setting everything turned on.... got blue screen and heard rfonline has conflict with ati driver if set to max setting

- if u in a game while ati new driver is avalible and u havent update it yet.... u will get blue screen

- recently after updating to latest ati driver... i see tiny white square on top left of my desktop and also some tiny dot tearings that inside the hole has something moving, disable ati tray then it disapear

- when installing ati driver.. always says did not pass windows logo

all of these i experienced myself and some of these problem are not just me.

i never own or use an nvidia card before.... should i switch side and check out nvidia?

I have owned a crap ATI 9000 once. I tried to use it as a secondary graphics card. But that didn't work, the drivers wouldn't install properly. That's not a surprise, and not really ATI's fault, but the thing is I ALMOST had it working (long story).

My point is that when I contacted ATI, they just said that wasn't recommended and didn't even tried to help. On the other hand, I contacted Nvidia and I asked what card they would recommend to use as a secondary graphics card. They replied the PCI 6200 would go along my 7950GT without drivers issues. Got it and it worked perfectly. The Nvidia drivers are well made, and have full support of multiple GPUs.

ATI: 0
Nvidia: 1 (and mabe more)

Never had any problems you were describing with Nvidia...

ATI: -1
Nvidia: 2

I just recently switched to nVIDIA. What I'm finding is that the performance is stellar, while the image quality is lacking compared to the ATi. There's no question that ATi blows nVIDIA away in that department. However, I'm really getting used to the impressive performance of the GTX.

:P

EDIT: I looked at pricing, they're pretty much the same.

I think we could say buy ATI if you want image quality. Buy Nvidia if you want performance.
