Should I use DVI?

If I use a DVI cable instead of a VGA cable, what would show a noticeable difference? Youtube? Flash Games? What does it affect the most?

Thanks, Zach

A clearer picture. Its more noticeable on larger screens at higher resolutions. Use DVI if you want to be sure you have the best picture.

I agree that you should use DVI but I use 2 1080 monitors. One with DVI and one with VGA. I can't tell the difference between the two pictures.

As far as quality goes it's always at least as good as VGA at a given resolution/refresh rate. I've never noticed a quality improvement, though. The reason I prefer DVI is that I don't need to do that auto-adjust crap every time I use a non-native resolution such as when gaming (I had to do that all the time on an Acer monitor and it got it right only half the time).

Really, though, unless you have some specific problems with DVI, there's no reason to use VGA any more.

yes, dvi gets getter detail on higher res, i know my vga screws up at 1280x1020

If it's with the computers in your sig, it's probably because of the video interface you are using. VGA can handle 1080p just fine. There are different standards of VGA. The newest ones can do high resolutions, but it's still an analog signal compared to digital with DVI.

Just cause I like this picture:

I'm gonna have to imagine you meant VGA and DVI. Otherwise, of course you are going to get the same picture with two VGA. Haha.
