When ever I try to such down my computer, it takes forever. When I click start and then click Turn Off Computer , it takes about a minute for the little window (Standby Turn Off Restart) to come up. When it finally comes up and I click Turn Off, it will take 4+ minutes to turn off. It is a new XP AMD 64 Processor. Anyone know what the problem is?

The Computer is pretty new and runs on a dial-up internet connection. I do have Spybot Search and Destroy and I did delete some things that I never heard off. If I can't fix it, I guess I will do the Windows Rollback.

please follow the steps in the computer security section. then post back on there with a hijackthis and buzz/byteman will take care of you.

check out adaware. good program to get rid of unwanted material. Also, u can repair the windows installation and try this before you reinstall windows. Repairing will reinstall windows but wont delete your files or settings.

try Start/Run/type cmd or command and enter -s shutdown.
yes but that will run into the same problem of clearing pagefil if that was the original issue to start with
