Shut off issues

Guys,

I am struggling with a comuter problem that I can't solve. I built a new computer and I have been having shut off issues ever since.

Current Set-up:
Intel DG33FBC Motherboard
Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 Processor 3.0GHz
DDR2 800MHz 3GB Memory
Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer Sound Card
Power Up 550-Watt Power Supply
BFG - NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT OC Graphics Card

When I first built this system I had the ATI Radeon HD 2600xt video card. Everytime I went to play a game the computer would shut off. There would be no errors, it would just shut off. I have since changed the video card to the BFG 9600 and most of the problems went away. Now when I start playing a Lord of the Rings game, the computer shuts off again. I can play Warcraft and some other games fine, but it shuts off as soon as I start playing LOTR. I have updated all drivers and this has not helped. I have done the following troubleshooting ideas:

>>Opened the case and put a large fan blowing on the board and card (GPU Temps reach about 48C during game play and CPU Temp Stays around 50C during play and 40C idle)
>>Disabled Sound card and used OnBoard Sound, also turned Video Sound Acc. down using DXDIAG
>>Tried multiple memory sticks
>>Updated all MoBod and hardware drivers
>>Turned hardware acc. down

The last thing I know to do is switch power supplies. The PSU in the system is a 550W Power-Up and the 12 volt reading is steady and meets the game requirements, but it is an off brand and I know sometimes the off brand PSU's are not very good. I am trying to extinguish all possiblilites before I go out and spend money on a new PSU. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Thanks in advance

Sounds like a bad PSU. As it gets stressed out it can't deliver enough power to your system. I found some reviews that state your same issue.

Helpppppp

That is what I thought too, but here is the weird thing. Sometimes I can play the game for up to 30 minutes without crashing and then other times it crashes after 2 minutes. Another thing is, I can play Warcraft fine for hours on end. I would think the system would be just as, or more, stressed playing Warcraft. Correct?
