Side panel fan disrupting air flow

Ever since seeing a thread on CF about side fans, and whether or not they help or hurt your performance, I've been wondering how it would effect the Thermaltake Armor cases. There's two cases that are identical except for the fact that one has a 25CM fan on the side.

I know that each scenario is different, and sometimes side fans can help, and sometimes they don't. Does anybody have any temp comparisons, or even ideas on the side fan on these cases? The 25CM side fan model is only $10 more on newegg right now.
 
i believe it depends on the type of HSF u have, if its a flat one i believe it would help air flow and act as a exhaust. but if its a side HSF common sense would tell me it doesnt help the air flow for the HSF.
