One look at the Desktop Sidebar seen at http://www.desktopsidebar.com/ resembled the one seen in the RC1 beta release.

What are you looking for in the sidebar's? There is a beta called the Smartbar XP that could work similarly like a sidebar (not sure if it is one, but you could check.)

Yeah I know what they are. I meant like what do you want in it. Like temperature management, weather info, etc.. Other than that, I can't really think of any, I believe there is also one called the Longhorn sidebar, which is different to the Vista one, but I'm not sure or even sure how it works.

You can search the freeware sites to try and locate something other then that one. But that name keeps popping up all over the place.

I'm looking for one that is simailar to vista sidebar. Can you tell me where to get the vista sidebar setup fiels and patch?

Patching it and discussion of it would be against forum rules. There aren't many out there. Why not just get a widgets bar instead if you don't find what you need.
