Definitely going to want to upgrade the motherboard, it'll bottleneck the sh*t out of the 4870x2.

You are battlenecking everything in the system, especially the videocard, I would reccommend a P45 based Chipset board. That should do you well.

If you want to cut back the price go with 2 gigabytes of RAM instead of 4 gigabytes. 2 gigabytes is plenty of memory. Take a look at this:

Patriot Extreme Performance 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) - $40

Also take a look at the GIGABYTE GA-EP45-DS3L motherboard for $105:

The Intel E8400 Wolfdale processor is $15 less than the E8500. The 8400 Dual-Core processor is very good. Take a look:

Okay I updated it, I'm most likely going to have vista and I multitask like crazy so I'm gonna keep the 4 gigs and for an extra 15 bux I think it's worth it to have the E8500 that's pocket change. Any other suggestions? I updated the list. Someone also told me with that board (the other one) I should spend the extra bux and get 1066 ram...

Stick with the P45. You want PCI-E 2.0 performance right?

I say drop down to a single HD4870, and get a Q9450.

I did not think anything could really utilize 2.0 yet? I am thinking of getting that processor but if I get that processor then I might have to get the better card and the better ram and the...
