Sigma tel sound problem

Can someone please help me? I uninstalled my sigma tel audio software so I could reinstall it since I was having trouble with my sound. But now I can't seem to find the correct driver. I have downloaded several and none of them work. When I install them, some say it's not the correct software for my OS and others say that the software has been successfully installed but there is still no sound and there is no speaker icon.

A few things we need to know first.

1. make and model of computer or motherboard if using a custom built machine.

2. Look in device manager to see if there is a listing under system devices labeled as "microsoft uaa bus driver for high definition audio"

3. What operating system are you running?
