Silicone Washers

When mounting a motherboard is it ok to use them between the mounting screws and the motherboard its self? Or do I risk doing any damage, shorting the board, etc?

I've never used them. I beleive they are for going between the board and case/standoff's.

Cheers, put them between the board and standoff's and everything is ok.

Do you need to use these? Neither my Antec Nine Hundred nor my Gigabyte mobo came wither any. I just screwed the mobo into the standoffs on the case.

No oyu dont need to use them

I know I didn't need to use them. But just wanted to see if they would dampen any vibration coming from the Zalman 9700, and, yes they did. Worked a treat!
