Simple resolution problem

im trying to connect my laptop to my hdtv via hdmi cables, and i am having alot of trouble finding the right resolution. 1366 x 768 is my laptops native resolution, i am not really sure what my TV's native resolution is but it is a 22 inch insignia lcd, 720p. Im not sure whether to do duplicate or extended display.

As Broni said, 720p means 1280x720 Resolution, though as a computer monitor it might be different. Like for my 26" vizio, it likes to stay at 1366x768. For the most part it'll set it automatically. As far as duplicate or extended...it's preference. If you want the tv to do exactly what your monitor is doing, do duplicate, if you want a second monitor display, use extended.
