Sims 2 Card

I'm looking for a PCI video card in which Sims 2 can be played laglessly even under the harshest conditions the game can put forth. I dont want SLI, and I dont want to pay over 150 (although if i have to i will). What cards would suit my needs?

I agree, but what the hell, I said if he can afford it.

To run that game I would just use a 7600 card, but if he has a pci-e then go ahead and get the best card he can afford. All he really needs is a 9800 pro, but that's under kill for any new games.
 
Guys, he said he needs a PCI video card. Now unless he got the name mixed up, lets assume he needs a PCI video card.

There are very few high-performing PCI cards, the best ones would probably be the x1300 and x1550. They should be able to handle the Sims 2 very well, but not the more modern games.
 
I have actually played sims 2 on a x1300, ok performance, however, it was probably bottlenecked at the time considering I had 512 mb of pc3200 RAM and an old P4. I personally liked my x1300 considering it was cheap.
