sims 2 on pc help

hi im not sure if this is the right place to post this but when my daughter plays the game after about 10 min the scrren goes out and wont turn back on
untill you do a restart
 
What are your system specs? Is there anything overclocked?

Can you describe in a bit more detail what the screen does? Does it go into a standby state? yellow light comes on? I'm wondering if you have an actual problem with the monitor or PC.

As always, update your video drivers, sound drivers, patch the game, etc.

Does this happen with any other games?
 
the card isnt oc and the moniter goes into standby the light wich is green goes yellow and the screen is black all you can do is turn the pc off with the power button then it is fine but a message saying something about the desktop and asking if i want to restore it comes up
 
Well that could be the video card or the monitor :(. Do you have access to another screen? I suggest you try another. You might want to check your cards temperature when it is under full load.
