Sims 3 Problem

I have gone and got myself sims 3, installed it fine and everything, started playing, made my family, moved them in and about 5 minutes into playing with them, the game closed itself.

I opened up the game again, tried again, same thing, so I uninstalledand reinstalled the game, tried again and it was laggy, then once again, crash while playing.

It isn't like it freezes, holds sound, freezes picture etc like if a game usually crashed, it just closes, like if you alt+f4 a game.

Has anyone else had this problem, only obviously, with it being a very new game, a google search came up with not alot

bump, still not got it sorted, been trying for all of last night, about 6 hours and got squat It is at the latest version, I have uninstalled and reinstalled seeveral times, I have virus and malware scanned, I have made sure all my hardware is up to date, I can't think of much else I can do

This is just a guess but maybe it's an issue because u are running SLI?

I don't think it would be SLI. SLI just increases your performance and it really wouldn't have an affect on it.

sorry to take so long with a reply, I need to change that in my sig, i did a little reading up on my system, as you do, and found my board has 1 x16 PCI-e slot but when you go SLI it goes 2 x8 slots, so near enough the same as having 1 card in (i didn't buy my motherboard else i wouldn't have got it) so I now only have 1x8600gt in to save power and so i can try to sell my other, so SLI isn't the issue
