Try this, Super PI

I believe it gives your computer the task of calculating pi to a certain digit and then it tells you how long it took. The faster its done the better performance and it utilizes only one core.

AFAIK Prime95 is a single-threaded, but I think it's more for stress testing and I have no idea what kinda benching utilities it comes with (if any)

Prime95 is singlethreaded, but the newer releases support multiple core stress testing.
