Skins in CS: Source

I've recently been experiemnting with Skins in counter-strike: Source, and whenever I didn't like a skin, I would just get another one and it would override the previous one. I just downloaded one for the M4, and i hated it, so I tried to DL a different one, but it won't work...I even deleted the files associated with the skin and tried installing a new one, but it's still the same one that I downloaded before...Any ideas?

The only way that could happen is if you didnt delete all the files. Look in your cstrike/materials/models/weapons folder, and your cstrike/models/weapons folder.

well another way is that the skin just refuses to work. like maby one of the files is corrupt or something is interfereing and thus not making it work.. b/c ive had this happen and no matter how many times i reinstall it, it just refuses to work. so i just get a different skin.

see it happends to my skins just like skidude. This is bs for the skins. I mean I love download new skins but it gets annoying after a while when you look in to the console and when you press the ~ thingey. I just hate it. It made my hand turn green. I tried adjusting my video card and stuff but it seems its not working. Right now the steam people are look at it. They ask me to log out of steam during the next 7 business day. Is it true that they will fix it.
