Skipping Image

In Internet Explorer when scanning up or down the screen the image moves in jerks, not smooth. I have just finished installing the OS, XP Home, outside the internet, all is functioning fine.

You need to install your video card drivers if you have not yet. I had the same problem when i installed my OS. When you install your video drivers you wont have that problem anymore.

Unless your computer is just plain slow.

Depends on how it's skipping. If it looks like the image is disappearing or appearing on the browser toolbar, it's a slow computer, and in most cases is the gfx. If it's got small parts being added to it, it's a slow internet connection.

Most likely only a standard vga driver is installed and needs to update the driver.
