Skype - Massive failure

Just before xmas Skype has had a huge failure. Its been off-line pretty much all morning

Suspect the article downplays the issue, and will the prob have flaky service across the xmas period :/ there busiest time

I bought a new laptop for my mother-in-law for Christmas and tried a test run with Skype. I cannot even download it for the new one...it will not even start on the wife and my computers.

Yeah, I almost swore at my iPod when I downloaded the app and it didn't sign in. Then I saw the PCW article posted that same day about why it was down.
But according to that anyone who was already signed in shouldn't have had any problems.
