Slave Hard Drive

I recently purchased a new computer and I have a great deal of files on my old hard drive. My new hard drive already has windows installed and I was wondering if installing the old hd as a slave would cause any problems due to the fact that they both have windows installed on them.

no it will not, the best thing to do is to just pull all of your files from your old hard drive to the new one and then format the hard drive in windows, then just put em back on, buy you dont have to, it wont cause any problems because your set to boot from the master, not the slave

Actually

I would personally, prior to installing the new HDD, uninstall all possible programs from the OS. Then I would leave the OS installed and use that in case of emergency. You never know.
