Slave or Master

I have a Dell E510.. I am replacing the old cd/dvd read only and the old read/write drives with two read write drives.. The old drives that came in the dell are both set to Cable Select.. Do I set the two new R/W drives the same way??? Or do I make one a master and the other a slave???

You can either set them to cable select or master and slave. Both have to be set to cable select or one needs to be master and the other slave. However, I've always put them as master and slave ever since I tried using cable select setting one time and had issues.
