Sleep Setting Help Please

Hi, I am running a AMD Athlon 3800+ 64 CPU 2.4ghz and when ever my computer is maked as away my CPU only runs at 1.2-1.4 Ghz I want it to run at 2.4 Ghz 24/7 because I run BONIC: Seti@Home and by cutting my CPU in half it kills the rate at witch the Sei@Home work gets done.

Can anyone tell me how to turn the sleep settings off or just make my CPU run at 2.4 Ghz 24/7 rather then cutting them in half when marked in sleep mode?

I am assuming this is a laptop, I dont know why it would underclock on a desktop.


Have you looked in your power options, Start>Control Panel>Power Options. There might be an option there.
 
No its a Desk Top and I checked out the power settings and it was on Energy Star I changed it to Always On. Will that also fix the 1.2-1.4 Ghz to 2.4 Ghz?
 
its an HP and i couldent find it anywhere for him, so i think its software based, but i'll look again
