I'm thinking of buying this http://clubit.com/product_detail.cfm?itemno=CA9681200 and this one seems a lot cheaper http://clubit.com/product_detail.cfm?itemno=CA9654049. But what I need to know is, I have a Dell XPS 400(2.8 dual core, 250 HDD, 2g ram) and everything in it is factory made like the sound card and the video card, and I need to know if one of these cards can be put into my PC? And I would like your opinions on which one to choose out of these or if you know of any better ones you'd reccomend?

For either Crossfire or SLI setups you need a chipset suitable for either. The specifications show an Intel 945P. For Crossfire that would be ATI and NVidia for SLI. You also have to have a board with more then one PCI-E 16x slot for the best performance rather then the one of each 16x, 4x, and 1x slots there.

The 3870 seen at the first link is the better gaming card. But the one thing will likely be the lack of seeing the full value of either card on a prebuild. That was just from a quick look at the specifications in the online manual seen at http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/xps400/index.htm

The power supply is only 375w on that model. Even if it had two 16x slots you would be way underpowered for an SLI or Crossfire setup to begin with. You simply have to choose which model you would go with for a single card application. The full specifications are seen at http://www.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.aspx/xps_400?c=us&cs=28&l=en&s=dfb
