SLI or New Card?

Definitely get a new card. A GTX 670/770 would be leaps and bounds better.

A better GPU is $250 more. 2 TB is good being its only $30 more or less and people generally keep their HDDs the longest out of any component and games are just getting bigger. Yes, the PSU is slightly overkill but if I upgrade to a 780 it won't be, ya think of that? Also, 16 GB is overkill but not a huge amount. I guarantee you 8 GB will be like 4 GB today in a few years.

This is silly logic.

You seriously talk some garbage sometimes mate. There are plenty of GPUs in between this one and double the price. The PSU is total overkill even for a single 780. And 16GB will not be any better than 8GB for gaming; for the future of DDR3 - which is about to be superseded by DDR4.

So, yes, talk some more rubbish, but you're wasting his money on stuff that wont impact in any way on gaming.

What GPU is in the middle of a 770 and 780? I guess I understand you on the RAM, DDR4 is the future but look, people are still using DDR2. The PSU, okay. You are right, a 780 and i5 even overcooked will only use about 400 watts. But being its not a excessive amount more then a 650W, I don't know why you would really want a lower end PSU. Notice how I am not "talking more rubbish"? I am not afraid to agree with you, especially if you give me something that means something like DDR4.

Because at the end of the day, you're spending money where it isn't required, nor having any impact.

A 430W Corsair PSU, with a GTX680 on a 1150 low end i5 would smash your machine and be heaps cheaper.

Cheaper? Yes. Smash? In what universe? The 680 is slightly worse than a 770 and a 4670K is slightly better than a lower end i5. Mr. $200+ CPU to max out games
Another thing, a cx 430? A CPU will be 100W and the GPU would be 250W or so. If you want to blow the 12V rail out of a CX 430 and fry the PC, be my guest. I have put 8 GB of ram and a lower end PSU in the build btw.
