SLI or one good video card??

The motherboard that I am going to get for my computer in progress, supports SLI. Do you guys think that I should get one eVGA 7800GTX(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130248), or two lesser graphics cards for SLI capabilities, that combine to add up to the cost of the eVGA card?

Lol, well first off nice 7800 GTX . Personally I would upgrade with one good card right now. However, even though the lesser cards might be better than the single card (what 2 cards would you get? 6800's? 6600's?) you could upgrade that single good card, to 2 good cards later... even though 2 7800 GTX's is more than enough power for today's games.

ya get one 7800gtx then later on when it cheaper you can get another one.

One powerful video card is almost always better than 2 lesser cards. However you have to compare considerably "lesser" cards. Example : 2*7800GT is going to be better than 1 7800GTX, because the performance difference is too close. However 2*6600GT's 128MB will probably not be as good as a single 7800GTX 512MB.
