SLI Problem. No improvement in 3DMark06

I'm running 2 8800GT's in SLI. I enabled it in the nvidia control panel. Yet I see absolutely no improvement in 3dmark06 whatsoever. I continuously score around 13,000. Which is the same as I got with 1 gpu.

The only thing I notice now is that at certain points the fans on my computer jump a bit, or sound like they're struggling. Also, when that happens the whole systems jumps with the fans. The frame rates don't drop, but the system itself does. I thought it may have something to do with my PSU. However I thought my PSU (see sig) would be enough to handle my system. (see rest of sig)

Any thoughts?

The SLI is obviously not enabled for some reason. My 3DMark score went from 18,962 to 23,064 with CrossFire. Have you re-installed the drivers? Also your MB has a feature, “HybrId SLI.” From Newegg’s Product Tour, “The onboard nVIDIA nForce 780 SLI is the foundation for many of the gaming PC's and the Hybrid SLI lets you combine the power of the motherboard's graphic chips with up to three SLI-enabled graphic cards.” Might be something in the BIOS to enable or disable this feature. Just a guess. ;)

I'm using driver version 185.85. I couldn't find anything in the bios about hyrbid sli.

edit: problem solved with new PSU
