I am hoping to purchase a second 7800GT gfx Card, but i would prefer to not have to upgrade my PSU. I currently own:
MotherBoard: ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe
Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 3800+ (with ASUS Silent Square heatsink)
Memory: 2 Gigs of.../shrug
HDD: 120 GB seagate technologies
Graphics Card: eVGA NVIDIA Geforce 7800 GT
Sound Card: M-Audio Rev.3 7.1 surround (not currently installed, glitchy card)
CD/DVD Drive: Generic Sony DVD burner
Case: Antec P180 Performance Case, with 4 120MM Fans

My current PSU is the Antec Smartpower 2. 500W. My current setup draws 310W if that helps.

The card Im planning to buy is: XFX Geforce 7800GT

Thank you

hurrah, thats what I had assumed. By the way. I had read on NVIDIA's site that there latest updates included the ability to mix company's. So I can use the XFX with the eVGA 7800 GT. Can anyone confirm this?

Give us a link to the psu. It might not work. Watts are not the only thing that matters. Don't get worried though it will probably work. Just to make sure though.

Edit: Yes, you have 2 different brands and sli them.

antec smartpower 2 500w will happily power all you've asked for.

and yes you can have an xfx and an evga of the same card in sli...

It'll do really great i think :)
your PSU is more powerfull than mine on the +12v rail, and im running the pc in my sig with it ( 24A on the +12v )
