Hi
I currently have an ATI radeon HD 2600xt 512MB which is quite good but im looking to upgrade. I have an sli motherboard so i want to buy a new one but still use my old one connected with sli. Im looking to buy 8800 gt 512mb alpha dog edition but was wondering whether i would be able to connect this with my existing card using sli.
thnx

No.

It won't work, for SLI, you have to have an SLI motherboard, two of the same cards, eg. 8800GT... Oh, and they have to be nVidea.

For your ATI card, you'd have to have a Crossfire board, with two of the same ATI cards, eg. 2900XT.

It simply won't worth.

You can have two 8800GT's though, if you wanted ;)

ye thats what i thought :P
i do have an sli mother board so i guess i could save up for 2 8800 gt but for now i will just buy one and maybe give my ati to my brother :)
