Slim DVD-ROM

Hey guys, I have a quick question, I'm a newbie so please bear with me. :-)

I wanted to put my current slim-line HP computer into a new case. I understand that this mean I may have to change motherboards, that's not a problem with me.

But here is the issue. Since my current computer has a Slim DVD-ROM drive, do you think that it would will fit into a microATX Mini Tower Case?

I mean if you want to save the money, that bay adapter is your best bet, otherwise you'd have to get the whole case that FuryRose suggested.
 
Ehhh, to be honest, a new drive costs just about as much as this piece here. Better yet get a new drive altogether. The only positive I see here is that this bracket piece adds a little ventilation to the PC.
 
Just wanted to throw this out there too, just in case:

If you didn't want to spend ANY additional money on your drive, you could simply put it in the case as is. It would be "loose" rather than screwed in, and it wouldn't look the best, but it's an option. Sort of similar to people taping SSDs to the bottom of their case when they don't have a place for them.

It would probably be better to get a new drive like you said. Their only like $18 for an Asus and they work like a charm. But you don't really need to worry about ventilation cause it doesn't really need to ventilate.
