Slow computer - When gaming or watching video

Last month I installed a new video card ati radeon x1900xt it worked fine. Just recently my computer seemed kind of slow 20-30mins after each reboot. So I decided to format the whole thing. After formatting the same thing happens. It works fine for 20-30 mins then starts to load videos and games slowly. Games become choppy and in videos the audio is not in sync. So then.. I decided to take that video card out and uninstall all the software then installed the video card i have been using for 2 years now. Just MSN and web browsing seem fine... except when visiting video sites such as youtube.

Anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

OK, we aren't getting anywhere real fast so we will get a Hijackthis log posted

  • Download Hijackthis from here
  • Then run hijackthis and do a system scan only
  • A notepad window will pop up
  • Copy (Ctrl + C) and paste (Ctrl + V) it into a forum reply

is that all???

Normally they are a lot bigger than that.....

save the txt file and attach it in a reply.

I just formatted the computer last night. About 15 hours ago.

OH that would be why it is so small then.

Okay here it is
I couldn't upload it as a .log so I changed it to a .txt

thanks

Well if you only formatted less then 24 hours ago then you won't have any viruses slowing down your computer.

Have you installed all your drivers???

Yes I have. Before I formatted. Everytime I tried to play a game it would slowdown. When I tried to play Counterstrike source... Steam would take forever to load and when I'm finally in a server everything would be choppy but my latency was normal. Same with Call of Duty 4. When I watch any video on my windows media player the audio would not be in sync with the characters mouth.

After I formatted... the same problem occurred but the first 30 mins or so... seem to be fine... very strange...

I have been playing the counterstrike source for 2+years now
and call of duty 4 for like 3 months or so..

My os is installed in C drive.
