Slow data flow on WD Blue 1TB SATA

This drive was running okay previously, had in mothballs for a while. Now I'm getting slow data transfer - like 1 - 3 mb/sec per HD Tune. Tried different SATA cables, reseated the power lead. After this reseating effort, it initially started out around 170 mb/sec but immediately dropped down to nothing again. HD Tune shows the drive to be otherwise fine. The drive isn't that old, less than 2 years and hasn't had a lot of use.

Another drive with the same power and SATA cable runs fine - 171 mb/sec.

Any suggestions? Thanks.
 
What do you get for a SMART report?

Could just be a failing drive, why did you have it in mothballs?
 
Tried a different SATA header on the mobo and now it's fine. Apparently an issue with the particular header it was plugged into.
