New to this forum.
For two days now I have been attempting to locate the problem with my internet connection (CenturyLink DSL) and my Gateway Desktop Computer.
I have a 3meg connection and yesterday I started noticing a delay in downloads. I checked several bandwidth sites and discovered that I was getting download speeds of 1meg and less. Upon disconnecting the router and connecting my laptop to the DSL modem I found that the speed was at 3meg. The problem is only with the Gateway Desktop. I scanned the computer with McAfee and it found no viruses. I now suspect the NIC card. Has anyone had similar problems????
