Hi, I've been having this problem recently with my internet when I first turn on my computer. It seems is loads up really slow, like the actual connection, not the internet itself is slow. It would be a slow startup problem as if you had alot of items at startup, but I don't. I only have Norton Antivirus and the internet connection in the system tray. The internet takes forever to startup and I can't connect to anything until the icon is there in my system tray. Any ideas?

nope maybe your comp is supposed to restrict access to the internet unless security is active
i think i might know your problem at first when i started up my computer everything would take twice the time it usually took to start something......turns out there was this thing that was bringing my cpu usage to 100 percent after a while that thing
