Slow Internet

I'm currently getting poor speeds on my computer, around 3 Mbps down and 5 up. My computer is in a corner, so is it getting poor reception, because on my tablet from the same desk, I get up to 35 down and 5 up. Plugged into the Ethernet, my laptop gets 50, but I don't use my laptop for gaming. I've been told its a wireless issue, but I'm not sure. We just got a new modem, and when I first checked, I got 25 on the computer too, but it keeps shifting between 25 and 2 or 3. Mostly it stays at 4ish

What type of WIFI adapter are you using on the computer? Is this a desktop that's in the corner? WIFI kinda sucks sometimes and isn't as good as a straight Ethernet connection. You should try channels 1, 6 or 11. But I doubt that will improve anything. Is there a new driver for your WIFI adapter?

The adapter I have is in my sig, ASUS PCE-N10, I have tried desperately to find drivers for it, and could not find any

Also, it doesnt pick up my 5 Ghz network, which is the one that works better

Update, after downloading the drivers file, I ran the system file that it had, and it opened a windows and closed it really fast, also, speeds don't seem to be improving. After hooking up a separate router, my tablet is getting 45 from the same corner as the WiFi card
