slow/no signal after installing video card

I have installed a new power supply (Corsair TX750M) and a new video card (Radeon 7950) on my Acer Predator G3600.
Drivers are installed and everything goes great except for one thing.
When I start my pc and screen, it goes very slowly and there is often no connection between my screen and computer.
('No signal' appears on the screen)
What can the problem be?

If I do manage to start up computer and screen, there is no problem anymore, the screen stays connected, so I don't think there is a hardware problem.

So sometimes it starts fine and other times it is slow to start or gives no signal.

Do you have the graphics card in the pci-e x16 slot and fully seated and locked with clip at the bottom ?

Is the power connection from psu to card connected ?

Have you checked your bios settings and set it to go straight to the card and ignore onboard ?

Yes, I'll check it again if the problem proceeds.

how do I do that?

I did have the program 'driver scanner' installed. It gave some problems.
I rebooted my pc after removing 'driver scanner' and all was normal.
It can be a coincidence of crourse.
